I can not believe I didn’t tried whipped butters before but let me tell you I LOVE it!!! This mix can be used for both your hair and body. I ordered my unrefined butter from
Sheabutter Cottage (company details at the bottom – please note I was not asked to mention the company. I paid for all the products I used with my own money).
I use a double broiler to slowly melt down the butters (DO NOT BOIL THE BUTTERS because it will eliminate the natural nutrients of the butters). I use gloves since I want to keep the butter for as long as possible and since I do not use preservatives I do not want to contaminate the ingredients with water or anything else.
I basically melt down the butters, add a portion of the carrier oils, mix and then put it in the fridge for 10 minutes. I then whip the firmed butters, add the essential oil, glycerin and vitamin E oil. I whip the butters for another 10 minutes and then store it in the fridge for 5 minutes again and add the remaining carrier oils.
I use a piping bag (you can use a spoon, spatula or sandwich bag) to transfer the whipped butter into my containers and that it is. My mix makes 9.4 oz of delicious looking whipped butter!
YOU CAN NOT EAT THIS MIX!
I hope you enjoy the video! P.S. I have a lot more information about butters on my blog: http://maicurls.wordpress.com/
